blue ray dvd and sanyo plz4 720p

will a blue ray dvd player work with the sanyo projector and if it does will it make a significanf diffrence, i currently have the oppo 971h

    Yes it'll work but your only going to get 720p/1080i not 1080p

    Make sure to use the HDMI cable- a Radio Shack brand is fine.

    He might not have a hdmi input in back.

    i do have hdmi cable in the back of the projector, so will it have a signicant improvement in the picture and what will happen when i try to play my old dvd collection in the blue ray player?

    Your old DVD's will look better if your BR player upconverts SD dvd's like most do. With the HDMI you should notice a better picture and in many cases better sound.
