My friend has been wanting to get a rocking stereo in his Dakota R/T for a while, so he headed out to Tweeter this morning to capitalize on anything they might have for sale.

He ended up buying some MM6501 (MSRP $350) for $150, and a PA1100.5 (MSRP $900) for $350.

Certainly a lot better deals than I was expecting him to find. I'm green with envy, though; I want that amp!!

Oh, I'd DEFINITELY love to get in on some of those deals, but I just don't have that kind of cash to throw around.

I could have sworn the sales guy at the King of Prussia store said Dec 4th would be the final day. I went to the stores in KoP and Plymouth Meeting (PA) this morning and they were both locked up tight. No answer at the DE store either. The signs in the window say 5 days left. So either they forgot to update the signs or they closed up early.

Haven't driven by any of the stores down here, but I know they were blowing stuff out of there on Black Friday. My brother in law was there, said it was pretty much down to the high end stuff. He stumbled into getting Lsi7s for $220, an LsiC for around $200, and some in walls. Basically 70% off list.

That's borderline crime in itself, especially for the customers who had paid the merchandise and couldn't picked them up. Hopefully those customers are paying with credit cards so that they can let the cc companies to deal with the merchant.
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

I can't read about this anymore. It pains me to see my fellow employees to go through anymore. I went though it and it sucks and hurts. Now for the proud few who decided to help out and stay on board are being treated like this???

I hope someone can do something about it. It's just not right on any level.

Didn't something like this happen with American Appliance several years ago?

EDIT: Yep here it is. No details, but I rememeber this event-I don't recall if the employees got screwed but I do remember lots of angry customers that paid for product to be picked up or delivered and weren't allowed to get it.

Sad, no "bail-out dollars" coming the way of the common worker dude...

I live in corporate America, but come on, "they" had to know they were going to screw these guys...

I think they did. For crying out loud the stores were closing in just a few more days-I can't imagine why they couldn't hold out until then unless the A-Holes had something up thier sleeve.

...such as by **** all the employees and letting the salaries, vacations, bonuses, etc get washed away by bankruptcy. Effers!
