Whats up all??
I Installed Windows XP awhile ago and have noticed a few things about it running on my Macbook Pro. The Track pad just about sucks for windows. I plan on picking up a external blue tooth Microsoft type mouse. Any tips or brands to look at??? The Right click you have to use 3 fingers to get it to work and I don't really care for that . I prefer a right button. On the Mac side, I can use the track pad and not want a mouse, if I did I can just turn on Blue Tooth and use one of my Mighty mouses. I have several. I haven't tried one for windows... anyone else ????
Other then that , Windows xp runs fantastic. It's very snappy and I have no no problems at all. I do just about nothing else other then Work stuff like Programming Control systems. I really have no other use for Windows. I may Install Office on it, I have Office 08 on the Mac side but it would be nice to have it on the windows side as well when I'm working over there. And the files can be transferred back and forth between OS's.
I run Windows with Bootcamp. I was going to pick up Fusion 2 but I didn't really like the idea of having to split the computer in half (all power wise) and run both. I know Fusion is suppost to be really good, I got so many good reviews of it from Apple people but I still felt Bootcamp was the right choice for me. But I would mind some more feedback on Fusion if any of you are running it. Fusion 2 has been out awhile, anyone run that? It's suppost to be a lot better.
On a side note, the new Mackbook Pro is simply fantastic. I have had no problems other then getting used to the trackpad. It does so much and I have found myself resting my left hand pointer finger at the bottom right corner for left click out of habit. This messes things up depending on wht you are doing so I'm training myself to stop doing that. Not to mention I discovered the soft click which is way better then a hard click. I did it one day and thought it was the coolest thing. the only other problem with the Pro is the glossy screen, Sometimes if you have a strong light behind you, you can see it like when your watching tv and someone turns on a light in front of the screen. You can simply readjust yourself and get rid of the image but that kinda sucks sometimes. The video quality is outstanding and blows away my matte screen on my HP so I guess it's worth it.
