I'm doing the sensible (yet not fun) "don't stuff your face fattie" approach...........

Years ago Thanksgiving obliterated my dieting, so this year I'm using it as a platform to go back to a more healthy lifestyle.........it ALL starts with eating habits........

Right on the edge of over-eating, a wonderful feeling it is!!

Both of our guests are now snoring, one in the family room, the other in the living room. Pretty damn funny.

Yes...It is the ONE day of the year I become a total glutton. I do it...I don't care what anyone else things...I eat until I am stuffed. I may not eat again for 3 days...but today I ate TOO MUCH!

Nope. The first time in many years that I didn't. My 2 year old son made sure I didn't by wanting to go play outside before I even finished my first plate.

Not AZ, just doing my own thing this year (by choice) and they are what I had marinated.

Speaking of, they are resting right now, almost ready for the final baking on the BGE!

Exactly. A few times a year won't kill you, and if it does, at least you'll die happy. :)

THe other 364 days of the year are for eating "sensibly", THanksgiving is for gluttons.

I didn't....I took on (with some help) cooking dinner for the entire squadron (125 people) who are all here on a remote tour (re no families). I started cooking at 0400....11 turkeys, 2 hams, 50 lbs of mashed taters, 10 lbs of homemade mac'n'cheese, dressing, greenbeen casserole etc etc......I tell you what, at 2, when dinner was served.....I wanted NOTHING to do with it. I did, however, manage to polish off the better part of a fifth of Makers Mark later in the day.

Hope you guys are having a good one....and there isn't a SCRAP of leftovers to be had. Damn it.

i had two heaping plates full of food.. turkey, stuffing, veggies, cranberries, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes and gravy, more dark meat turkey, then some white meat on the second serving. + a diet coke :p:p:p

yeah I overate.. it's Thanksgiving, it's the one day of the year you are encouraged to overeat. ;)

don't you hate those people who go to the gym on Thanksgiving morning, then play touch football with friends at 11am, have turkey dinner and only eat salad, then go back to the gym skipping dessert? WTH? But I know a few people like that.

LOL......I went to the gym this morning.......worked out for a while then an hour on the treadmill.......

My sister went to her in-laws today and we're gonna do a sib's thing tomorrow, so we'll see how good I am tomorrow or not......hahaha I'm not saying I'm ruling dessert out.........but I'm taking it easy.....besides, the easier you take it, the more leftovers there are (always a good thing on Thanksgiving)

I hate gyms. I did however take a hike this morning. About 10 miles in 35° weather. So I may have consumed about 4,000± calories at lunch...but I figure I walked off about 1,500 or so this morning. A decent trade-off.
