I'm on vacation this week but work as a habit on keeping in the loop. Got a call this morning a co-worker whom I known for the past 8 years died last night age 38  God that is too young and he did this at the gym yesterday. It's hard not picturing his face today, I can't even imaging the hardship it's on his family / parents. I don't think he was married or had kids.

To add to this, I was told today he had blood pressure issues and was under meds and eating better, exercising more and this is where it happened. Blood pressure was reported as 200 over 150 during a doctors visit, but was getting this in line. Not over weight but his BP was not right, what a shame. I just invited him over for a demo when he had time one day, I'll need to play it loud during lunch time for a tribute to him. RIP my friend.

    Steve,

Sorry to hear about your coworkers untimely death. It sounds like he was taking the lead in getting his BP under control.. maybe though it was to late and the damage had already been done.

It's sad to see someone go at such a young age. Do something special in his memory.

Sorry to hear that. I guess most of us should take this as a wake up call go see your doc at least once a year.

Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

Sorry to bring this up again, but.... with George Grands "Near miss" thread and his bleed out internal quote I can't get past his last moments on earth and how he died. Its not that I'm not happy GG is well and recovering it just he was able to see the problem and got help in time, where someone 38 can't? I just I'm still in shock, RIP again dud.

Again please don't take me the wrong way there's no offense to anyone here.

Well, isn't this uplifting? Sorry to hear about your buddy DizzyJoe. 38 is way too young.

I am not offended by anything that you or anyone else in the thread has posted.

Yes, they got hold of me in time. But I had high blood pressure for at least a couple years prior. I still "lose it" every once in awhile. I lost it a little in the hospital and 5 minutes later I was 117/67. I don't really know the point I'm trying to make here, but am I REALLY fixed? Will I ever be fixed to the point where I don't lose it even a little? Is that the day a piano falls on me? I think at 38 he COULD be helped. I just think that sometimes, maybe blind luck comes into play.

Try and comfort yourself with the no wife and kids aspect. Life just plain sucks sometimes amigo.

With my new job, one thing I've started to notice a lot more are the AED's (Automated Electronic Defibrillators) around so many public places. I don't know the details of your friends situation, but I think it's important for everyone to keep an eye out for where they are just in case YOU (everyone, not person specific) might need to get to one and help someone out.

George Grand sir you're loved here and you have a huge heart we all know it. Your issue makes me think he blow something up and bleed in, I can't get over it. His last 60 seconds I'm sure he was thinking about me. Sad but I think we all need to listen to are doctors.

George, you're smart to realize you were going down hill from there. I will never know if he Keith had the same opportunity or he was done right there, it bugs me a little. But understand he was a fine person, people will miss him for sure.
