You do one helluva job of misleading yourself, DUUUUUDE.

You got nothing but good solid advice here, and had no idea how to interpret it. Cry on somebody else's shoulder. You bought what I consider to be a great amp. I have used one continuously for 20 years now. But you're (do you understand "you're" when it's not spelled U'r?) firmly convinced it's not for you and you haven't even touched it yet. More power to you pal.

Twin 1.0t driving my rt-12's sound awesome. If you have a chance to get it at a good price do it the resale value is high for these amps so no worries if you don't like it.

Alright guys finaly got the Carver M4.0T today..sound fantastic, very clean power and much better than Carver M-500T on upper and Mid but at the low I think M-500T hit little harder with depth...which I am not complaining and Amp looks excellent almost brand new...now question?Should I biAmp with Carver M1.5T(Low)? And let Carver M4.0T handled (High and Mid)?

I dont think your mains are so power hungry that biampig the Carvers is needed. Just roll with the 4.0 for a while before you make any changes. it takes timre to fully acclimate to a new piece of gear sometimes, to where what you think is lower bass really isnt lower bass.

Well, that's up to you. Give the 4.0t some time and enjoy it before you go changing it up. We'll still be here when and if you want to go that route. Congrat's on your new toy.

Don't forget to thank George for his advice in all things Carver.

If the M-500t has a weakness, it's in the bass. On the bench, the dynamic power kind of sags a bit. That's one of the reasons I got into modifying these amps; give them tighter control over cone motion (current sourcing).

    Here's what I've measured re the M-500t:

    Rating
    Stock
    Mk II

    Power
    8 ohms
    251watts <0.15% THD
    395 watts <0.15% THD
    4 ohms
    330 watts <0.15% THD
    420 watts <0.15% THD

    At Clipping
    8 ohms
    270 watts
    410 watts
    4 ohms
    350 watts
    490 watts

    Dynamic
    8 ohms
    380 watts
    520 watts
    4 ohms
    470 watts
    920 watts
    2 ohms
    412 watts
    1214 watts

After the Mod, the M-500t has much tighter bass
