RTi-12 problem

i blew out my tweeters not to long ago...i paid for the replacement tweeters and installed them. now my right side tweeter is not working..i know it's not the tweeter because i swapped it with the other one and it works. my speakers are bi-amped and the mids are working just not the tweeter...so what could be the problem...what do i need to fix this...im not sure whats wrong with it...

I would imagine you've blown out the speaker's crossover. That and the tweeter are the only two parts of the speaker.

Best thing is to call Polk CS and they'll guide you step by step to remove the XO from the speakers. You can make a quick visual check (and smell check too) to see if anything obvious had happened to it. The XO can be repaired and needs to send to Polk for repair if your RTi12s are under warranty. Or you may attempt self-repair if you are hands on with soldering gun.Trying out Different Audio Cables is a Religious Affair. You don't discuss it with anyone. :redface::biggrin:
