You'd definitely need a sub. But I believe he mentioned this was foar a computer systemFronts: Polk RTi10

yea it is. I guess I should keep trying to take that into effect.
My desk is 12 ft long and some times I forget about that its for a computer system. -
If you want to keep it around $100, you might be able to snag a pair of RTi4s close to that on ebay. Those would blow away the R150s.Fronts: Polk RTi10

The R300 is like a 150 in a tower speaker cabinet. The RTi4 are the older version of the bookshelf speaker that is now the RTi A1. If you want to go even bigger, you could swing for some RTi6s (which is now the RTi A3).
Use the Microsoft Live Search 25% off on buy it now and you'd come in at around $155 shipped.
Or go one level down and pick up some monitor 30s or 40s in the same price range. With the 25% discount from live search on buy it now, you could get a pair of monitor 40s for $120 shipped.Fronts: Polk RTi10

There are often vintage polk monitor speakers (monitor 5, 7's or 10's) available for under $100. (I picked up my monitor 10's at GoodWill for $24.00)
For new speakers, On Black Friday, Best Buy is supposed to have the T15's (5-1/4" bookshelves - black) for $50 per pair.
Now that's a good thing to keep in mind Adam if your other leads don't pan out!!!
WOW ML $24 for Mon 10's??? NS!!! That's a deal and a half!!
My 1st Polks were Mon 10's.....Just sold em not long ago....they were HUGE.
I had no room here for em here now that I moved and they had been packed away in their original boxes for almost 4yrs.
Sold them and my Velo CT-100 to my buddy for $300.
(He loves the setup and wouldn't part with em for any price)
The 10's were incredible speakers. I got mine like 10yrs ago out of the local paper for $175 and they were like new....Guy only used em for Jazz.
Any of the old 1980's Mon series speakers are GREAT and can be had today pretty cheap.
I have a old pair of Mini Mon's I use for surround I got at a Fleamarket for $35 about 5yrs ago.
Still look and work great!

$50 a pair.....I'd be all over it!
Would be worth the 1hr wait in the checkout line.

T15, but yes, very very close to R15.
Not bad for $50, but there are better speakers out there. I'd take it over the $50-100 Sony, Insigna or Pioneer ones that Best Buy also sells. -
These just got posted on craigslist today does anyone know much about them?
