Yeah, sounds stupid... unless you are deaf in one ear and would like to listen to music on your new iPhone.
I would like to take a standard headset and somehow combine both channels into one ear speaker. Is this called bridging?
Please help.
thanks,

Simple,
it just takes a splitter. You Y out the output then use a reverse Y and combine the signal together, this will give you stereo mono. I have done it many times for multi room music when only one speaker was proper for a small area like a powder room. It saved channels on amps and you don't have to spend the extra money on a stereo speakers which connected both left and right of a stereo source.
So lets review. 1/8 Y splitter Male to 2 female stereo. Then another Y splitter 2 male to 1 female mono, then plug in and you will get mono.

I'd really like to modify my MP3 headset rather than having the adapters; could this be done?
