No I don't get it. Why do we need multiple threads discussing the same thing? Please explain the benefit of having multiple threads on the same topic running at the same time. Why did you start a thread instead of contributing to the others? -
noobs don't know how to click on the new post link lol.

Geez. You guys must not have much to worry about!

Regardless of the number of threads, I wonder how many of us really have spent serious money on audio gear in a CC? I bought a tv there 15 yrs ago, but other than that I never spent money on electronics there (other than a pair of out of the box Polk outdoor speaks for 60 bucks).
I guess I'm sad to see them go, but I'm betting most people even buy the periphials online (cables, connectors, etc).
To me, the most telling reason they went under was my experience buying my 50" plasma. I spent probably two hours over a three day period there looking at a few different plasmas, and over that two hrs of time not one sales rep came up to me and asked if I needed help. I ended up buying my plasma from Costco, where at least I got a lower price for no help and no harrassment over an extended warranty. My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself. -
That sucks. "plasma" appearantly you needed all the help you could get!

Maybe he will buy some Polks w/ his CC discount...even though he doesn't work there anymore, and resell them.timmythugs wrote: »It is pretty sad to see Circuit City Being liquidated. I worked there for 10 years and I left them awhile back. They helped me out to get my mecp masters. They will be missed.timmythugs wrote: »MRbig. You dont know what you are talking about. Wow, thanks for being the first person I put on ignore.
BTW, I bought that "plasma" before LCD was a household word. On the other hand I was sitting 5 ft from mine today and had a clear pic. Try that with an LCD.
I have words for people like you, but I don't want a ban.My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself. -
I have to agree. Check out the current issue of Home Theater Mag. Shoot out of flat panels. Guess how the Pioneer Kuro Plasma did? Think LCDs beat it?
The closest competitor was Sony's new LED LCD displays?
Got to keep up with the literature. Plasmas now have a longer life than a lot of LCDs are almost as impervious to burn-in as LCDs and have better Black levels and 'more natural color'.
And as Rivrrat points out, viewing angles are phenomenal!
