Yeah ... I wish politics didn't bring out such an "us against them" mentality ... it's a bit sad IMO when you think where this country has come from to get where it is.

Not really. I saw one just before it was yanked & I think you had just about the last remark... so congrats on that.

You have to give CP credit for doing such a good job at monitoring what is going on ... even in the middle of the night ...

Sometimes they are completely deleted and sometimes they're not. All depends who moved them and what it contained. I don't believe any threads from last night survived in witness protection, however. Oh well :)

It would be nice to see a placeholder or something when a thread or post is deleted. Sometimes I swear I'm losing my mind when I know I saw or read something and there is no apparent explanation for somethgin disappearing. If there is a placeholder or somethign to state that the post or thread has been deleteed for violation of Forum Rules, then I would at least know I wasn't losing it and so that others can be more aware that the rules are/were enforced. Just a thought. :o

That can be done and is considered a "soft delete". I think this is not done as sometimes even the title of the post is against the rules. Also, soft deleting a thread can sometimes open up more threads asking why it was deleted by folks who never went into the thread.

At least the method typically exercised now usually leaves little doubt as to why they were deleted if you were involved in the thread.

I agree, things shouldn't have to be spelled out. :D

I like that method over the current method, but a removal of post or editing of post stating issue is a best method. IMHO

It would stop where's that "Thread" threads. ;)

So my post offering $100 to anyone/everyone who could answer my trivia question was deleted ?

    Dang.

You know what, though: it's still a good day.
