hey peeps i am looking for something like the dvd profiler for music cd's..
does any one know of some thing??
i have way to many cd's, i forget about them some times..
dont get me wrong it is kinda of fun sitting down and looking thru them and running across one that i had totally forgot i owned, its like winning a small amount of money...i have tried alphabetical order many times but damn always get new ones and have to reorganize,400+ is just too many to redo every other week..

    I too would lke a "CD Profiler" but I haven't seen one. Here is what I do. If you have MS Windows you should have either Excell or Word spreadsheet. You can use it to oganize alphbetically or by artist or whatever. To add a new CD just type it in and tell to program to sort by your perference and you are good.

    Not free software ($25) but looks like a good product. You load a CD into your CD drive and it downloads all of the info into a database. HERE

    I've kinda quit buying cd's, but when I do, 99% of the time, it's techno/trance/house type of music that's continuously mixed. Would a profiler system be good with something like that as compared to a more standard type of cd where there are breaks between the songs and more common type of artists?

    I haven't put much thought into my cd's, but with my DVD's, every time I buy a DVD, I put it in my Palm Pilot under the "DVD PHONE BOOK." I had to do SOMEthing because after I found that I had bought about 10 movies twice, I was getting a lil pissed......
