Hit "Watch DVD" on the Harmony 880, then push the PS button the PS3.

    So, 2 for me.

Or to listen to the radio, I push "listen to the radio" on the Harmony and I got music, so 1 for that.

    1 to turn on pre
1 to change input from radio which wakes up my amp to cd
    1 to turn on cd
    1 to start cd playing

No need to adjust volume it is set at a certain level that is just right.

Technically if I leave the cart setting on an LP, and everything set to on, one button on the Panamax power conditioner. Rogue highly recommends not using this method of powering on their tube pre's, so probably just a theoretical but possible answer.

Here is my typical "turn on" sequence to hear music on my main system:

    Step:

Monster Power ON (turns on 1 amp also)
    2nd Monster Power ON
    Power bar ON
    2nd Power bar ON
    Pre-amp ON
    DVD player ON
    Amp 1 ON
    Amp 2 ON
    Amp 3 ON
    Amp 4 ON
    Amp 5 ON
    Amp 6 ON
    Amp 7 ON
    Raise volume on AMP 1
    Raise volume on Amp 2
    Raise volume on Amp 3
Raise left and right volume on Amp 4
Raise left and right volume on Amp 5
Raise left and right volume on Amp 6
Raise left and right volume on Amp 7
    Press play on DVD player
    Turn up volume on Pre-amp

Hmmmm, 26 moves later, I hear music. No wonder my wife thinks I'm crazy.

And it takes 26 moves in the reverse order to shut down.

Looks like those procedures needed to launch a nuclear missile. You don't have a binder to keep all these instructions, right?:D
