I have a pair of LSi15's and an LSic that I'm currently powering with my Elite reciever. I'm thinking I need a little more "go juice" 4 these guys. I would still like to use my receiver to power my inceiling surround and rears, and my subs are powered.
I'm looking at the XPA-3 to power just the fronts and center. would this all work well together? open to suggestions, I'm new to the HT thing.

Thank You

Yeah, that'll work. Personally, I'd get the UPA-7 for the same price and power all 7 speakers. Alternatively, you can consider the XPA-5 and do a 5.1 setup.
HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50” LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

I'd like to hear your impression of the F112's. Or is that a typo? A pair of those must be "earthshaking"

The 01 is a beautiful receiver. I love the upgrades Pioneer made from the 90. If you would have purchased the 05 or 07 , you would be ok without a amp as the ICE amps can handle a 4 ohm load in a smaller room right under Reference levels. After that you still should consider a more power amp for the Lsi's.

Your choice is a good one but also consider looking into Rotel. They have a full line of very powerful amps.

Yup, I love my JL's! when I first bought them, they were kinda on the "tight" side. after a month of use they have loosened up quite abit, I had to turn the gain back a little to keep things from vibrating off the shelves. 50cal machine gun percussions hit u in the face like u were shooting the gun!

thanks 4 all the advice, I'm very new to ht so I have alot of questions.
    Thanks again

And we are here to answer them. Welcome to Club Polk Slone!

I agree with EarlyB. Get one amp for all of your speakers & be done with that upgrade.

The XPA will do just fine. If you don't mind getting used check out Audiogon for Parasound, Outlaw, Adcom, Rotel, Sunfire, B & K etc.

Here is a bargain right here on our flea market
