XRt12 issue

Hi there. I have had an XRt12 for a few years now. I love the unit, but recently I've been having a problem with it. I tried a search on this forum, but didn't find the same problem I am having.
Basically, the unit turns on, and it will show channels 0-171. But it will not let me tune to any of the channels unless I press the enter button twice on one channel. Then, when that channel starts playing, I can not change the channel, unless I turn off the unit. Not only that, but the song/artist info is not displayed at all. Then the other problem is that I cannot tune into the channels above 171 at all. Also, the remote will now only turn on the unit. It will not change the channels, or even turn off the unit. It as if the unit is frozen almost. Ive tried unplugging the unit, leaving it unplugged for a while, and plugging it back in. That didn't work to reset it. Is there another way to reset this unit to get it fixed? Thanks in advance.

The CS gang will touch base with you on Monday. I wish we could help you now but that's an odd problem to which I have no answer.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    Hello,
Those are, certainly, some unusual symptoms. I'm going to assume that you are using fresh batteries in the remote. I'm also going to assume that you are using the original XM antenna and, if necessary, a recommended antenna extension cable and not another type of antenna or extension cable, correct? In other words, I'm trying to eliminate any problems that could be caused between a different antenna/extension cable and the tuner. If all of this is not an issue then the best thing to do would be to package the unit up and send it to: Polk Audio, 2550 Britannia Blvd., Suite A, San Diego, CA. 92154. Please include a short note giving us your name, address and a daytime telephone number and list the problems you are experiencing.
    Regards, Ken

    Thanks for your replies!
Kenneth, the remote batteries are fresh. The antenna is the original, with an approved extension.
This started happening when I had to move the electrical plug of the unit from a "always on" position on my power strip to the back of the Audio Receiver, which turns off the power to the outlet when it is off. So I am wondering if the on/off of the receiver has some how messed up the memory of the unit. I have recently(2 weeks ago) put the XRt12 back into a "always on" slot on my power strip to see if that would fix the problem.

I think i will just mail the unit into you guys so you can have a look. Its a shame that I can't take it to your Baltimore counterparts, as that is less than 5 miles from my house!! haha.

Anyway, thanks again for your response.
