FWIW- That was the thing that I read that kept me away from either motorized or manual pulldowns and went with a fixed screen.
My first thought was even weight across the bottom somehow and letting it sit, but someone probably has a better way.

Thanks, how does a fix screen work to keep wrinkles away?

Fixed, meaning always there mounted to the wall. I had heard that the material in the retractibles developed wrinkles when rolled up for lengths of time. Common sense logic would dictate that letting the material hang over time, maybe with some even weight would pull them out.

I originally got the pull down screen so I could roll it up & watch tv,but got rid of the tv & mounted the screen on the wall & thats been 4 yrs ago,I thought someone knew of a trick to get rid of them, the wrinkles are vertical top to bottom. Its a good screen from Dalite thick materal.thanks

How is it mounted to the Frame?
Is the frame reinforced in the middle?
Are the wrinkles deep creases or just loose fabric?

The reason that I ask is that a steamer works wonders for certain types of wrinkles. But if it is sagging then there is different tricks. I have built a few screens and had a handful of problems along the way.

Thanks its not a wrinkle but a dip in the sreen,I check to make sure that its level. The screen is a Dalite c model that has something in it to make it easier to roll up which I dont do anymore. The screen is a thick material.

When you or the installer installed the screen, Is it mounted to the wall hanging by the outside corners? And not supported in the middle?
What I am trying to get at, is middle sagging at all? Even 1/4" across a 5 or 6 foot area will produce wrinkles. If you have a 4 foot level, if not borrow your nieghbors, and put that across the top of the screen housing. See if there is a gap between the level and the housing.
I'm guessing a roll-up screen is not designed to be unrolled for an indefinite amount of time. The weight of the unrolled screen over time would allow the roller to sag slightly.
If you plan on leaving it down, mount it to a quality piece of MDF, plywood, or melamine. Problem solved...
    Thanks, Jeff...

Thanks Jeff I found out that it was the wall behind the screen.
