Kavent/Shengya/Vincent Cd Players?

Hey Guys,

Has anyone heard the New Kavent Cd-1031/Shengya Cd-20 players?
They look pretty impressive.

    Hi there. I've owned older Sheng Ya and Kavent CD players which were very nice. I upgraded to a newer model and it was a POS. In my humble opinion I'd avoid the Chi-fi stuff. Hope that helps.

    I strongly caution you as to the reliability of these newer model offered by Sheng Ya & Kavent. It seems their initial offerings were of good quality (I owned older models of both SY & Kavent) but after "upgrading" to a newer model SY it was dead after 6 months with no possible recourse. My $.02. YMMV. Vincent is the "real deal" - Sheng Ya & Kavent are Chinese knock offs.

    Yes, all three company are made in China to keep the price down.

    My understanding is that Vincent is a German company responsible for the design. Built in China. Sheng Ya & Kavent are Chinese companies making knock offs of the original Vincent design.

    I wouldn't buy any of them.
    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    After 8 months Im still impressed by this player.The Kavent CD-1031
    is Balanced and built like a tank!

    Since no service was available stateside I was screwed.
