How bizarre. I was unaware that these even existed.

I notice they have the silk tweeter instead of the Tri-laminate.....

    Nice Score.

Enjoy and Welcome to Club Polk.

Uh, all those had the silk tweeter, the tri-lams were earlier on...

Like I said, I was unfamiliar with the speaker.

They just reminded me of my old RT800i's which couldn't have been much older and they had the Tri laminate tweeter.

As much as I liked the RT800i's I hated the Tri lam tweeter. If I had known there was a similar speaker out there with the silk tweeter I would have bought a pair to try out..

So my comment on the Tri lam and silk tweeter was just me thinking out loud.

    Carry on..

I didn't notice that you didn't like the tri-lam, please elaborate! By the way, you actually almost bought a pair of these on eBay in cherry before you got that deal on your RT800 (we exchanged a few messages about them at the time). If the 800i came right after the RT800, I suppose these must have come after the 800i and before the RTi8 ...

Anyway, our friend jav559 has posted them on eBay (with those exact pix), so perhaps he doesn't like the tri-lam tweeter either!

Your right, I love the speakers just very short on funds right now and it was the speakers or my golf clubs.

Oh well, the speakers didn't sell, so I guess our friend jav should start packing up the golf clubs ...

Opening bid was $199 (no bids)
Buy it Now price was $275
    Shipping $35

It seemed a little on the pricey side, but a pair of RT55i sold for $185 today, with $25 shipping. Maybe he should have started bidding a bit lower? Just thinking out loud ... Carry on folks!

I didn't want to give them away! I honestly didn't know what to start the bidding at. I am not giving up the clubs just yet.

I'm no eBay expert, but I would expect that you should be able to match the RT55i price I mentioned with these.

$199 would probably be a best case scenario, and it certainly will not generate any excitement as a starting price. Even if you start it at $1, you should still get at least $100 + shipping. If this were me, and I'm no more of an expert than I was a minute ago, I would not start the bidding at any more than $100, My sales target would be $150-225, so $225 might be a better Buy it Now price.
