Yeah, you read that right.

Insanity. Idiocy. How ever you want to explain it, PETA is, has been and always will be off their rocker which is already off it's reservation.

I know at least one person here who has stated that a "cow's milk is for baby cows".
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

This could give tons of women who get pregnant all the time, pregnant teens, unwed mothers and other victims of men not manning-up an opportunity to have a solid job. Who knows, I bet they got hormones that could make anyone produce milk. You could sit on your **** all day.

Ha ha; this is the most stupid thing I've seen. Ever. A restaurant in Switzerland will start using breast milk instead of cow milk in their kitchen? They will "pay" milk donors? I would be the first to STOP going to that restaurant.

What does People for the Eating of Tasty Animals have to do with the type of milk used in ice cream? Does it go better with meat? :D

Pretty damn stupid from a logistics standpoint...not to mention the health issues.......then again, I would try a quart if I could tour the plant and watch my quart being made :)

Has anybody older than 5 years old (I've seen 5 year old boys in Italy still breast feeding, by the way) ever tasted breast milk? And all you fetishists out there don't need to chime in (hahahaha!).

    Wow. you're just...wow.

For one thing, human milk does not have the same kinds of enzymes in it that cows milk does nor does it have the same levels of fat and fatty acids. Cows are bred for milk producing capabilities and the quality of that milk (i.e.: enzymes, fat content, protiens and so on). Yeah, we get enzymes from calves to help break down the milk but there are other cultures used in the production of various cheeses and such that will just spoil other kinds of milk.

Consequently, human breast milk will not work properly with the same cultures used to make stuff like cheese, yogurt and various creams but it also doesn't have enough fat to make things like ice cream and butter.

On top of that, to come close to the milk production needed for Ben and Jerry's we'd have to milk most of the Northeast's women. Then again, to even come close to the production of the United States alone, we'd have to take every female in a place like China and half of India and strap them up to an automatic milking machine 24/7. Keep in mind that PETA thinks that is inhumane to do to cows but apparently the thought of milking actual humans isn't inhumane at all and they are quite OK with it. THAT is the definition of hypocrisy. Probably because someone can profit from the product of the action of milking a herd of women. Whether it's the women being milked or, say, a brothel owner. All those profits from cows and cow milk though, that's evil.

This of course leaves out the idea that breast milk is best for BABIES just like cows milk is best for CALVES. I am neither just like most people here and 90% of doctors wil tell you that human breast milk is not good for adults because it doesn't contain the stuff an adult needs, only what a baby needs.

It's just for press, they just want to get the factory farm point across. There are plenty of ways to buy milk/dairy products that don't associate with factory farms, they just need to be over the top to get noticed. It worked didn't it? I'm sure you aren't the only one who posted a link to this article.

I hate to sound like I'm going light on the ACLU, but i put PETA about 1-2knotches higher on the freakometer. PETA = 9 ACLU = 7 - 8 depending on the issue.

Yes. Bought the cow, raised the calves, got the milk free.;)

p.s. fwiw, goat's milk is the most allergen-neutral, lactose-free, and is what is prescribed for babies who are allergic to their own mom's milk.

How awesome would it be, just once, to see a company like B&J stand up for themselves and call out PETA for the nutjob terrorist organization they are?

Something like "Dear PETA, you're a bunch of whackjobs. Take your cult elsewhere. Everyone else, one free ice cream, made from cows milk, tomorrow."

Or maybe a more classy, smarmy approach, such as "Any PETA members willing to donate their personal milk may have ice cream made from it by Ben & Jerry's. Due to the time and effort involved in this process, these specialty ice creams will cost $336 per pint. Milking process will need to be supervised by a team of inspectors for sanitary reasons."
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

    Sweet!

Ya know I have been to Ben, and Jerry's in VT. They have some cows with utters showing around the place. Do you think they would have women, and hooties showing if they went with breast milk? It might sway a few opinions?
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.

If PETA has their way, all beef/milk production would stop.
Of course, there would be no reason to keep cows. They would
go extinct. Cows=beef /milk. No beef/milk= no cows.
PETA has some good points. It started as a good concept.
Now it should be renamed to PITA!

Dumb? Yes! But certainly not the WORST that they've done.

Remember that Canadian canibal story last month? They did an ad featuring the same scenario, basically describing the crime on the bus, then making out the victim to be a cow.

I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore
