Pretty good example of where to start.

You appear to be in luck regarding ease of VTA adjustment:

"The 2 Xperience is equipped with the same 9" carbon fiber tonearm used in Pro-Ject's top-of-the-line RPM 9. It features a tapered conical arm tube to reduce standing wave reflections, a fixed aluminum head shell with high-grade copper wiring, hardened stainless steel bearings in sapphire cushes, a silicone-damped arm lift and easy adjustment of needle azimuth and VTA."

I have not messed with the VTA at all (I wouldn't know where to start to be honest).

Not every stylus is where it should be. Start with the arm/cartridge parallel to the record and adjust VTA up and down until you get the richest fullest sound. Note that some cartridge/stylus are more sensitive to this adjustment than others. If you get too aggressive with VTA, you can change your stylus overhang.

I basically have two settings, thick and thin.

My way of telling whether I have the VTA/SRA set properly is that when I make the adjustmenst up or down (for VTA) or lighter or heavier for SRA the music literally sound like it snaps onto focus. It is unmistakable.

Refresh my memory, Joe. SRA is stylus rake angle, the angle of the stylus in relationship to horizontal?

I've had a chance to sit down for some extended sessions and am happy to say it sounds fantastic, a definite improvement from my last table. I tried to mess w/ the VTA, but it seems to be where it should. The sound seemed crisper in its current position. I am listening to Alison Krauss "live". The imaging through the SDA's is unreal!
