The 70's Mancave...drum roll please...

Ok, 5 weekends later, she's done---well, almost. I'm still missing my KSHE95 Real Rock Radio (STL) flag and a bean bag chair.

We're really pleased with the outcome. Note the "George Grand" 8-track player (mint) donated by the man himself (thanks brotha) in the close-up vintage rig pic. There's a built-in compact fridge in the dry-bar which can't be seen in the photo's, and shelf above is for the booze.

Also note the obligatory pot plant--a must for any 70's room. Total cost, abut $850 all said and done, and a possibility of 3 to 5 in a medium security joint. Enjoy!

The pics don't "capture" it very well. If you turn on the backlight behind the curtains, shut-off all the other lights, get the color-wheel going with the lava lamps, it's awesome.

Very cool! I like the decor. A black light and some Day-Glo paint would be a nice touch. Or would that be '60's? :D

    Congrats and enjoy!

Oh my God that is awesome!

The cinder blocks and the (now non-standard size) pieces on the floor and shelf are sooo close home.. The milk crates...****...did you have to remind me of that?

Does anyone else want to know what's behind the curtian? "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtian!". Somebody else figure out if that was from the 70's..

Thanks all. There were a few things I wanted (black light/poster, Farrah, etc) but simply ran out of wall space. I still may do a black light/poster on the left of the dry bar...

Thanks all for the comments, I tried to peg it as best as I could remember.

I wanted it to look like it was put together with basement "finds" like a 70's teenager would. Behind the magic curtain is my workbench, tools storage cabinets, and my camping gear shelves.
