Just received 2 new 6503 drivers to replace the 6500 in my Monitor 7B's. So that I can get the correct faston connectors...is the wire internal to the speaker 16 guage? Thanks.

Hello,
That would be #18 guage wire.

Thanks Ken. One more question: I'm looking at the drivers to figure out the positive and negative. There is a - stamped into the bracket on the right lead (nothing on the left). I dont want to assume this is the negative and the other, which is unmarked, is the positive. Can you please let me know for sure. Never done this before! Thanks very much.

You might need to go to Radio Shack and get one of those testers ..... I need to do that same thing.PolkAudioClyde

PolkClyde,
Just spoke to Ken on the phone. He confirmed that the "-" is the negative terminal, but the location may vary from driver to driver. My save you a trip to Radio Shack.

Use a double A or triple A battery and connect the pos to the pos driver terminal and neg to neg.The driver should pop out.Not in...SDA-2BTL with custom IC
