Ps3 sd/dvd?

Why is my PS3 only putting out a small rectangle version of my SD DVDs on my 60' screen? I want it to fill the whole screen....:confused:

    not sure if the PS3 has this feature, but your TV should have a stretch or fill option.

    It is currently showing the native SD picture.

    NOTE, if you stretch it to fill your screen, it will be a "stretched and distorted picture, may or may not bother you.

    If there is a "zoom", it is better, it zooms in till the screen is filled and cuts off the outer edges.
