"Polk Method" wiring for RM10 and AVR Crossover

I just configured my RM10 speakers using the "Polk method" as per the manual. Because I am connecting directly to the Sub and not using the Sub Out connection on the receiver, do the Crossover settings on my Pioneer Amp no longer apply? I'm thinking Crossover Settings on the Amp only apply if I'm using the Sub Out on my amp but I can't say for sure. As far as the Crossover settings on my Polk Subwoofer, I'm not sure what those should be. Can anyone shed some light on this please?

Thank you

Correct. Set the speakers to large, subwoofer to off or none and don't worry about any XO settings on the Pioneer.

The gain/volume is preference but I would start the XO on the subwoofer at 130hz.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
