My xrt12 suddenly won't turn on. The power button is lit up but pressing it does nothing. The button itself clicks but no relay. The remote does not work either.

Is there is solution to this such as a hard reset?

How would I do a hard reset?

Yes, there have been storms lately so it's possible a surge caused it.

    Hello,
On that tuner you can control the on/off with a 12VDC source on the rear panel. Do you have this connected to anything? Are you using any kind of "whole house" controller with the RS232 connections?
    Cheers, Jed

No, nothing connected to trigger or serial port.

    Hello,
My guess is that something has happened to the tuner and there's nothing you can do. I would box it up and send it to Polk Audio, 2550 Britannia Blvd., Suite A, San Diego, CA. 92154. They want you to put a note inside the box and give them name, address a telephone number and a copy of the sales receipt.
This is the standard procedure for them to get it working for you.
    Sorry mate!
    Jed

Seeing as I bought this unit second hand and have no sales receipt and it's out of warranty I bet I'm out of luck here?

Might be better off just finding another used unit.
