I would change your way of looking at that room...
Move the TV / Front end to the wall where you have the couch now, and let your couch "float" in the room. The back of the couch will also serve to create a walkway as people pass through the room when coming from the kitchen.
If you need to be able to see the TV from the kitchen, just add a drop in the kitchen for another TV. Hopefully there are pulling at least 1 cat6 to every place the are pulling an RG6. Since wire is really the cheap part, have them pull doubles and just leave the extra lines unterminated for future use.

Thanks for the input but the way it is set up now is pretty much set in stone... since all the speaker wire and video cables were hard wired into the walls when the house was built and construction of the house is already complete. Also i chose the current orientation because the wall where the screen will be (just got 100" projection screen in mail today) is 10' tall while the wall where the couch is is only 8' tall due to a coffered ceiling. I feel that using the FXi3's in lieu of the RTi4's i originally really maximize sthe flexibility of the layout i chose.

I'll be sure to post pics some time!
