Trying to get my Computer hooked up to my receiver....

So I tried ordering a USB to SPDIF and the converter only came with 3.5mm inputs, and no coax. So then I got online and tried ordering a 3.5mm to Coax adapter and it came, but the coax they advertised was for TV Cable!

I have a 25ft audio coax cable sitting here and I have no way of plugging it into my computer! I don't want to spend more than $20 getting this to work so my questions are:

Are there any cheap 3.5mm to Coax adapters or USB to Coax adapters?
Also, is it possible to take my 25ft coax cable, and change the terminator to fit in the 3.5mm to coax adapter?

edit: will this work? http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=104&cp_id=10401&cs_id=1040109&p_id=680&seq=1&format=2

Is it a digital 3.5mm, or analog? We need to know what you have. Adapter link?

Why don't you just get the cheapest sound card available that has an SPDIF out? I'm sure you could find one for $20, and you'd be using your reciever as a DAC anyways.....

It is the 3.5mm that comes from out of my laptop. I have my current laptop speakers plugged in there down. Basically a headphone jack.

edit: I would need the sound card to plug into USB.

Do you have digital out, or does the adapter have digital? Adapter link?

    This is what I bought:

I think it has S/PDIF out on it. But only in 3.5mm jacks. Other than that, my laptop doesn't have any digital outs.

Its no biggy, I am shipping it back and gettin a refund. I think I am also going to take back the 25ft coax and get a 25ft optical. This should make it easier to find a working hookup, coorect?

    Thanks for your help

Actually no for two reasons it seams more audio cards have spdif than fiber. Also when I use my computer on my stereo i had the choice of fiber or spdif and i went back and forth and the coaxial sounded better. Just thought I would help ya out.
