altenator whine on sony xplode deck

No amp, just the head unit. Picks up altenator whine. Turn the lights on, even park lights and the whine goes away. This is a small rear engine powered fiberglass motorhome.

Grounds look good. Tried another positive source but didnt make a difference.

Have joined the yellow battery and red ignition wire to one lead, as we like to listen to the radio without the key in. Any suggestions appreciated.

    Try a diffrent ground that should help

    Make sure the speakers aren't grounded or that they share grounds between left and right channel. Disconnect the antenna and make sure you have agood ground from the ground wire and not from the antenna. Good luck!
