No thanks. After that last round of 3 horrible Star Wars movies, I'm done.
    If...
Ron dislikes a film = go out and buy it.
Ron loves a film = don't even rent.

It doesn't look good and has gotten God-awful reviews. I'll avoid it like the plague.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

George Lucas manages to pinch off another loaf. News at 11.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

I dunno, I already watched the clone wars cartoon & I know the story pretty much. I think he's already put out enough stuff that covers those years of Anakins life. If he's going to do animated movies, I would rather see something that happens after Jedi or before phantom.

I agree, but to see new Jedi in action, would be cool.

An The Force Unleashed is supposed to fill in the gaps between 3 and 4..

He could take some stories from the Expanded Universe and make something with that. Or even make am movie from the games, such as NOTOR or Jedi Academy.

The Clone wars are getting kinda old.

I'm a SW fan, so I would probably watch every one that comes out. :o

I'm a orignal Star Wars fan. I have no problems with any of the movies. I like them all. There is nothing wrong with 1 2 or 3.

I will go see this with my son. He also loves Star Wars for what it is and not hate on it for what it is not.

I'm a huge Star Wars fan, and yes, I think all 6 are incredible. That being said, I wish new material would be made, not has-beens like this. But... a cool cartoon with Jedi's in it can't be all bad right?

If I see it in the theater, I will post my thoughts. Otherwise, it will be a blind buy and added to the collection.

I saw it. It was mediocre at best. This was supposed to the pilot to the TV series but Lucas couldn't stomach giving anything away for free. As a made for TV series it was OK. As a big Hollywood movie.............not so much.

I would recomend waiting for the DVD but if you do that you will be behind when the TV series starts.

Who cares if its not up to par with the original or blah blah blah. Just see it and enjoy it! Who cares what the reviews are.

How many Tom and Jerry episodes did you skip becuase they just weren't up to your expectations.

If you are not sure and want to save money, then wait until it comes out on DVD or cable and see it then. Personally I've seen many movies with poor reviews that I found entertaining-if for nothing else eye and ear candy-even if the plot was awful. Same goes for Movies that had good reviews that to me were awful.
    To each thier own.

There's a thousand movies at any one time that you can spend your time seeing. The only way to weed out the ones that might be good from the ones that are terrible is by finding someone or a group of someone whose opinion(s) you trust and seeing what they recommend.

When the general consensus is something is god-awful, I'll spend my time and money elsewhere.

Is this really rocket science? And worth you getting all huffy about?

What do you mean who cares? It wasn't good. How can I enjoy something that is not good or 'up to par'. I saw it and didn't really enjoy it. If enough people give a bad review maybe more people won't waste their time with it.

Sounds to me like you are easy to please. I want a little more from my movies than just eye candy.

General rule of thumb for me is I take reviews with a grain of salt. If a movie I think I'll be interested in gets bad reviews I'll just throw it on the Netflix queue. If it sucks I'll just eject the disc -- nothing lost. :)

No, not easy to please-Not sure how much background investigation you've done on me to make that determination from one comment. I can be quite critical actually--but I like to go into a movie or listen to a song I've never heard before with an open mind. Its hard to do that with "what everyone else thinks' in the back of my mind.

Maybe you went in with that mindset-or perhaps YOU in fact were disappointed. My point is it doesn't matter to me. I'll see it anyway-perhaps on DVD but I'll still see it if I choose to because the subject matter may interest me.

Like with music, what you like may not be what the next person likes, so somebody that hates Eminem may love Britney Spears and likewise vice-versa.

    I didn't think I was huffy, perhaps I should've added a few :o?
My comments were not meant to offend any that felt offended, it was intended as constructive and positive comments for the OP.

The only way? OK if you say so. I don't know how getting a general concensus on an open audio based forum that from any number of people with vast differences in opinions is necessarily from a group of trusted opinions (shall we have a cable discussion?) :p.
If you ask for thoughts on the new SW flick on a Star Wars fanboy forum, what kind of response do you think you'd get? Perhaps just a teensy bit biased? So its all in who's general concensus you decide to accept.

The OP asked if anybody else was going to see it. They didn't ask if it was worth seeing.

Rocket science? Exactly-its not. If you want to see it then see it. If not, then don't.

-just trying to enjoy life-it could end tomorrow.

I liked it. And will buy it on dvd and record the series... So there:p

I enjoyed them all, even every Jedi/Sith game. Same way I enjoy LOTR and HP. I just enjoy being transported into another world/universe.

Instead of the same ol' CSI/Drillbit/DormDaze movie out there.

If reviewers as a whole, meaning alot of them, all kind of lean toward a movie being piece of crap then generally speaking it is a piece of crap. I've agreed and disagreed with movie reviewers but when the majority of them lean one way it usually ends up being right.

There is a web site at rottentomatos.com. They take reviews from hundreds of people, professional and not. I like to get that kind of overview.
