Mine has definitely been Badminton. Exciting and very entertaining games. Honorable mention to womens sand volleyball :).

Tennis has been boring, swimming is never exciting, and I don't really care for basketball either. Judo has been ok but I haven't seen any good greco-roman matches.

Also watched an interesting document about "the bloodiest game in Olympic history."

Did you see the mens 4x100 relay? How could it get more exciting?

I will say that it seems like there are a TON of swimming events. Each stroke/medley/distance/relay... must account for half of the medals.

Gymnastics is exciting but I really hate events that are solely determined by "judges". Subjectivity and bias are impossible to remove.

Yep, one of the reasons why Phelps is now in the group of the greats (Nurmi, Lewis etc). Not that he isn't a great swimmer, just that he has the benefit of zillion events to get there. Runners have tons too but not that many.

I don't understand how there are all these world records being broken in swimming, as if they wouldn't have done it throughout every single year that they go to all of these swimming events.

    LZR Speedo
Forty-eight world records -- including short course and long course -- have come from swimmers wearing the suit.

swimming (Phelps last night dominating, 4X100 was awesome, Coughlin's finish)
badminton (not an easy sport to play, fast paced, they swing so hard and are so quick)
    indoor volleyball (violent spikes)
women's beach volleyball (less violent spikes, more scenery)

I'm impressed the target shooting events.
From what I've seen the Russians are Phelps'ing the Georgian team this year.

Aside from the suits (which have been in play for longer than just the olympics), it's also how they train to peak at the right time. The human body can only be at it's peak for a short period of time before it starts breaking down. They all set themselves up to peak now and not at the world championships or US trials as the only time most people give a rats **** about swimming is at the olympics. Speed skating follows the same routines.
There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin

    SWIM!!!!!!!!

    It should be renamed PHELPSWIM...

Seriously, 3 golds, 3 world records smashed....the 400m IM and 200 free, he was like a body length ahead of everyone....the 4x100 relay was one of the greatest comebacks ever, by Lezak.

Phelps pretty much breaks every world record these days......perseverance and talent, he's got both. The guy is a serious otherworlder...

But I got 2nd place at SoCal Swim Amateur Athletic Foundation, division breaststroke, 100m....so I know how it's like....

Park Tae-hwan was great too....Korea's first swim gold for like forever...

Badminton for me as well. Maybe that's because I was on my high school's badminton team (as a bench warmer).

Sorry. Twelve year olds from China don't really do it for me:p
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Sprinters have lots of events to work with. Long distance people have only a couple at most that they can really focus on.

    I'm not bitter. Really.

I would prefer the badminton as well, but I've yet to manage to catch any. Badminton is the only sport I've ever been able to seriously get into playing and then play it regularly. Yeah, I like golf, too, but never play it regularly. I played badminton two times a week for a few years. AWESOME sport.
