CL2-3 Speaker Wire suggestions

I've been perfectly satisfied with Monoprices Oxygen free speaker wire...
but I bought some 14g CL2 stuff from them recently, but upon striping the wire looked more like 16g or even 18g...
so now I'm looking for some decent (NOT pricey) CL2 or CL3 14g speaker wire. (max run about 50ft).
Anyone?

What about monoprice's 12g CL2 stuff. I have used it before and thought the gauge was plenty thick enough. Plus, the price can't be beat.

I was going to add a link to the last post since monoprice.com was down this morning, but that option isn't available anymore...
So here it is:

The Carol stuff is decent. They have 14 gauge in 2 or 4 conductor, in 100 foot rolls or by the foot.-Eric

I'm sure it's 14ga, unless they sent you the wrong item. CL2 speaker wire has much thinner jackets inside the outside casing than regular speaker wire.
I have been using this wire, it's very high quality, CL3, and definitely 14ga:

Thanks all - Based on the numerous comments: sounds like I just got a mis-marked coil (s#!*happens)
