This morning I plugged the Marsh directly to the wall outlet; when turning it on you hear a big HUM for half a second or so. I think this is pretty normal for any transformer. After that, it does have a little hum that you can hear up to a foot away or so. This is much less than what other amps I've had in my house had (Belles 350, Adcom 555).

Ok. Thanks for the update. The hum I'm hearing sounds "normal" to me, even though I have no experience w/such things. Maybe better said, the hum doesn't sound like something's wrong.

Are you going to try your Humbuster w/your new Marsh?

Lemme know how it works if you do as I'll probably check one out myself.

    Thanks for the update.
