This amp is the living proof that the "Minimum 200 WPC" is a myth :)
I have it driving my Dynaudios at 4 ohms and 86db and it simply shines. Some members here are using this amp to drive LSi's. Do a search and you'll find some reviews.

I am at least the second owner, but it is in great condition. 8/10 would be conservative. Silver faceplate. I'll post some pictures later.

If we could edit it would be so much easier.....

Forgot to mention....original box, manual, etc.

And I have 55 positive feedbacks here, plus 150 "points" in Audiogon under Htrookie.

This a great sounding amp people, if I wasn't on my current quest for a Pass Labs piece this would be mine. We had a shoot out with this amp and it a very solid, nice sounding amp. Great price too!!

Ricardo, got any Pass Labs pieces............that's what I'm really looking for, but this is 3rd on my list.

First, I would like to thank the members of the Rockford Audio Society(Doug,Brock & Aaron) for helping to make me the monster I am. I think we all just loved this amp when we heard it at one of our soiree's and I've been pining for one ever since.

Second, thanks to Ricardo for working with me on this sale because I just cannot let this one get by.

Hey Ricardo, does your Marsh have a quiet hum?

I just got one - love it - yet there's a just barely audible hum coming from the amp. It's not distracting and it's no bother, just wondering if it's "normal?"

    Thanks!

I don't have a "Toroidal" hum, but I do have a PS Audio Humbuster.....my AC is "contaminated" with DC and I have not been able to find the culprit. I started having a hum in the first toroidal amp I had, and I got the humbuster probably a year ago. Highly recommended.

So, did your Marsh have a slight hum when switched on?

Sorry to ask again, but I'm not sure from your response.

    Thanks again.

Wait a minute. I think I get it. You don't have a hum BECAUSE you have a hum buster. Right?

No, there is no hum, though if I remove the humbuster I might get one, as with all the amps I've had. I will try tonight.

    Here's a link:
    http://www.psaudio.com/products/humbustermoreinfo.asp
I think they don't make them any more, but you can find them used.

The humbuster is really a "magical" solution. I tried all kinds of tweaks/conditioners but none worked. It will ONLY remove mechanical hums from transformers due to DC, not hums coming from the speakers. I don't know what is wrong with my AC, but I have the suspicion that it might be related to this "little" 739 ft tall antenna; if it ever falls and the wind is blowing our way it might hit us.

See my previous post; I am not an expert, but I would think toroidal hums are normal up to a point; they could be caused by a loose transformer, and maybe also by a deffective one.

In my case as mentioned I've always had them, but it became annoying once I moved into my small dedicated room last year. While I was out in the big room I just didn't pay attention to it. In my current room I heard it from my listening position (yes...when music was not playing...;))

It is fairly common and is more indicative of line/wall current than a faulty component or amp. My Adcom 545 hummed like a **** at an old residence. It never has since. So some sort of fix like Ricardo uses might be in order, depends on how loud and annoying the hum is. When I had the issue it was faint and the amp was far enough away from the listening position it wasn't that bothersome

I assume the OP is talking and the actual Torrid humming and not a sound being transferred thru the speakers. If you hear it thru the speakers that's another issue. Try using an extension chord and plugging it into other outlets; preferably on another circuit.

    Aaron............you snooze............you loose!!! :p

No problem... I've got too much going on anyway. I really quite happy with my 2-channel at the moment with the addition of the Rotel RCD-1072. The Marsh would have put me over the edge into audio-nirvana though. I finally got our floor done, (which completely changed the acoustics in the room (went from carpet to hardwood)) so a Rotel review in my system is forthcoming...

As well as an upcoming visit. I might just invite myself over :p. Seriously we need to get the RAS (Rockford Audio Society) back on track.

DaBoyz - congratulations! The only way my A200s is going anywhere is if I snag a good deal on an A400s (or actually a pair of them to drive my Magnepans!).

The RAS needs a late summer meeting! Now that it sounds like Aaron is not traveling so much and has his honey-do list under control, it would be a good time to set up a meeting!
