I just heard about this on Glenn Beck. I can't stop laughing:p

http://www.boston.com/news/local/massachusetts/articles/2008activists_push_to_repeal_state_income_tax/

We're talking about the BIRTHPLACE of political corruption and bureaucracy.
I'm sure all those public servants are just gonna stand by and kiss their pensions goodbye:confused:

The link doesn't work, but based on the URL, if it's what I think it is :

A friend of mine at work is CONVINCED that this will go through. CONVINCED. He can't understand why I laughed at him.

For a little historical perspective - MA voters a few years ago voted overwhelmingly to reduce the state income tax from 5.75% to 5.00%. The legislature decided to veto the move.

A government of the people for the people and by the people my ****.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Yup, that's the one. Even if it passes, it will be ignored by the state. I would bet my paycheck on it.

Funny, I live in a no income tax state (NH), that also has no sales tax, and we somehow survive. I wonder how that is?!

Unfortuantely I work in MA so they still stick me for income tax somehow.

Oh yeah! I used to work on the RI border, and sometimes in RI, based on the amt. of hours, and I had to file in both states!!! And yet, I couldn't vote in RI!
Funny,.......I recall a certain party that involved TEA, having something to do with 'Taxation w/out representation'!!!

I doubt it would pass firstly. If it did, it would be ignored. Another tea party may be in order, but not so much because of this.

For my neighbors to the North: the consequence of helping those that don't agree to the federal suggestion that you pay taxes on earned income.
Life sentence for helping tax evader.
