MSB Link Dac wiring problem

For those of you familiar with MSB products, I have the Link Dac and the seperate P1000 Powerbase. I revised my setup in the rack and I need to place these 2 components side by side.

The problem is that the interconnect wire between the Powerbase and Dac (supplying electrical power to the Dac) is now too short. I called MSB and they want $95 to make a longer cable. This seems quite steep, does anyone have any ideas or solutions or know of a supplier that has a decent price for such a cable?

Right now I'm running the Powerbase upside down so the cable can reach the DAC.

Are the conectors molded on or removable? If removable you could get some cable(ie Beldon) with same number and guage of conductors and transfer your power connectors on to the new longer cable.

The cable ends are molded one piece round connectors with 6 pins.

It might be possible to obtain another female and male connector of the same type and build an extender. If you post a pic of the connector type I will see if Electrosonic or Digi Key have soimthing.

Why isn't it just sitting under the dac?

He is rearranging the rack. It sounds good but the OCD in him makes him mess with the rig. He HAS to do something to it.

The photo of the upper half of the rack shows the 2 Sony carrousel cd players side by side, they used to be one over the other. But since I got a 3rd player (a Pioneer), I decided to put the units side be side (the Pioneer is on the far right).

The MSB units are directly below the Sony players, where aesthetically, it makes more sense. But the Powerbase is upside down because of the connector.

As for the connector, if anyone knows where to get one at a reasonable price, I need one. I'll go check out the local electronics store today.

Yeah, it is the pic in the link that is wrong, for some reason the pic shows a 5 pin instead of a 6 pin as the writing says.
