Monitor 40 tweeter broken

I have a pair of Monitor 40s and one of the tweeters now has a cracked cone, and has what seems to be a brown "goo" that is covering the cone... Any ideas on what gives, what to replace with???? Confused on what happened, the other tweeter is perfectly fine.

sounds like ferrofluid from the voice coil... you probablywill have to replace the tweeter...

I think your best choice is to buy a new tweeter:)
