u lations! The inlaws are out in that area, and they really love it. It's our turn to go out there this year, and I expect it will be a nice getaway.

I picked out the new house with a priority of having a couple different listening rooms. Should be pretty awsome! Tubes, horns, HT and now rooms to actually put it all in! I'm pretty excited! Thanks for all the good wishes.

lol. You know you're addicted to audio when your purchase of a house is influenced on listening rooms:D

I went to several really beautiful homes with bad audio layout. They didn't have a chance of getting on my list of possibilities. ;)

The master bed... uh, I mean master listening room is going to have great sound with the high ceilings and a well proportioned room size. I'm guessing I'll sleep in one of the smaller rooms. I'll make one of the smaller bedrooms a guest listening room. :D

This house didn't come with a dungeon. The basement is full of windows and a double glass door. My old house had a real dungeon with the poured concrete walls, no windows and no door to escape. Oh, you meant the audio gear. :D

Congrats :D If its really brand new ( And not just new to YOU ) do that walk through really good....I had the builders fix about 7 or 8 things that werent right in my brand new house.
I actually had a down slope going from the living room into the dining room...so much so that you could FEEL you were walking downhill
I wasnt going to care much until we started moving things in and found out that anything in that room looked crooked as hell against the wall. They pulled the carpet back all the way to the living room and poured a leveling concrete sealer...and they had to use a LOT to get it level.

Have fun setting up your new place.

Its 5 years old so it is what it is. The owner let me lounge around in it for a few hours by myself so I did get a chance to check it out pretty well. I found out things like one of the pieces of wood trim was a little crooked, the catwalk creaks at the middle when you walk on it, really not too much else. My old house had something wrong with almost every aspect of everything. Nothing major, just everything needed something. I figure with this house I'll actually fix things that need attention instead of ignoring them. :)

Right now I'm in the condo, I have it until the end of the month and its furnished. The old owners are running a little late on being ready to leave so I gave them an extra day or so. I believe there will be a furnished livingroom, a bunch of trees and maybe some other furniture they didn't sell. They are moving to a smaller place and don't have room for everything. Truthfully, I'm thinking I'd rather sleep on the couch and be in the new house than sleeping in the comfy bed here at the condo. Luckily I have the choice. I just hope the movers show up on monday as we scheduled. I'm guessing there will be water, gas and electric for a few days but I don't know for sure. The agent is getting me numbers to set up my utilities. In any case its a fun adventure.
