I just hooked up them to Thiel 1.3's.Man let me tell you I was Impressed with B&K's new stuff this year.
They use all balanced outs and in's.I wired this setup with Monstercable M1000 balanced. The amount of detail and reserves this system had was awesome.I really think B&K really hit a home run.
The PT5 still sports the same remote as the PT3.The added blue lights is one hell of a classy touch.
For 699.99 preamp.......it's all about worth every penny.I believe it sounds alot better then last years model...PT3.
It's worhth the trip if you into 2 channel to give it a listen.

Thiel is one of my favorite loudspeakers. I'm not familar with a 1.3, did you mean 2.3? Or perhaps the original .3?
Cheers,

Mine 2.
Theils are so nice and fun to listen to.Very detailed and very accurate.
The owner of the Theils said they where1.3's.I'm not sure if thats correct.
But anyway the B&K gear made them sing.Dan

What was the driver config, do you remember? No big deal, just curious.

the speakers where on the same size as the new 1.6's.They where oak.Grills stayed on.I didn't take the time to look.We had a Theater to install in another room. That was his 2 channel system.Sony ES sources.Cass and CD.
They where older models as they had the screw type wire posts.they where 15 years old.
You know Theil really hasn't changed much in all the years they have been around. The new 1.6's are the most radical change in years. And it 's not that much.Dan
