TV Stand Suggestions - need to fit CS400i

I haven't posted in a while, but I've been lurking... occasionally.

I just upgraded from a RPTV to a DLP TV. I need a TV stand. While there's a lot of info out there, I'm having difficulty finding one with the right dimensions and/or adjustments.

My preference is for a 3 shelf (3rd = TV on top) something sliver / glass, black / glass, or just plain black, but I may be flexible there. The new TV is 61" and I've got a bit of gear that I'd like to get into this stand - center + 5 components. I'm game for a 60"+ lowboy, or something of the sort.

Requirement - my center channel is a CS400i (8.625" tall). I can't seem to find a stand that has enough room available on the upper shelf for the speaker.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Have you thought about mounting the center on top of your TV? I used one like this (mine was black) and it worked really well.
    Mains.............Polk LSi15 (Cherry)
    Center............Polk LSiC (Crossover upgraded)
Surrounds.......Polk LSi7 (Gloss Black - wood sides removed and crossovers upgraded)
    Subwoofers.....SVS 25-31 CS+ and PC+ (both 20hz tune)
    Pre\Pro...........NAD T163 (Modded with LM4562 opamps)
    Amplifier.........Cinepro 3k6 (6-channel, 500wpc@4ohms)

I hadn't thought of doing this, given the size of the speaker. But this says it'll hold 30 lbs. I'll look into it.

I'd still love to hear any suggestions on stands.

    I use one of these.

Search around though. They're available in different widths and with rods for larger or smaller shelves.

The model I have allows the center rod under the TV to be installed a few inches back, allowing room for a center channel. I don't know if it's deep enough for yours though, but the height is right.

I built a custom shelf. Total cost was like 20 bucks for two brackets and I had an extra shelf lying around. I painted it black and cut out a notch in the back for the speaker wire to run through. It's was real easy to do! You can see pics in my signature

I used the mount that McLoki linked to, to hold my CS400 and it worked great. I used it on a Sony Wega tube tv though. With the small depth of TV's these days I would make sure that this would work for you first. What TV model do you have?

WHen I used the mount, I used it with a Hitachi LCD (slim) rear projection. When I got my new plasma, it didn't work anymore and it was of to the basement system with the 36" tube TV it went...

The TV is a Samsung HLS6187W. I have to believe the back is too steep to mount a shelf on; at least on to hold the CS400.

I may end up wall mounting the center above the tv or just sitting it up on its own pedestal, in front of the tv.

    Thanks all for guidance.
