Pricing on the M770-CCS

What the heck? How did someone at Polk Audio come up with $1,199 for TWO coaxial marine speakers and plus another $49 for swivel base mounts??? Three dealers can't sell them and one dealer won't even keep them in stock until someone orders them with a credit card. I do like the fact that they are 7.7" and slightly larger than some other Polk Audio marine speakers but why would anyone spend an insane amount of money for just TWO speakers? I'm trying to understand how these TWO marine speakers could cost so much? Anyone?
