I finally got a GDA600 and all my CDs sound a-lot cleaner.Tighter bass, and much improved highs. It actually toned down the harshness of those sl2000s.:D...RDO198s will replace them next tax refund.I only have a standard rockfish coax for now but that will be replaced by a moon audio modded DH Labs D-75 next week.I have high expectations because of the rave reviews it has gotten.Im also planning on a monarchy audio DIP combo. Those SDAs and this forum have turned me into an upgrading ****..:o.I just cant stop. I want AQ Black mamba II interconnects,DH labs speaker cables,a theta transport, the mojo1 mod for the DAC.And the sonicap crossover rebuild.

Sounds like you got the upgrade bug. My advice is to give yourself everything you want! In the end you'll have a killer system and a wealth of experience.

Yeah.I got ot bad.My next purchase I think is going to be 20 ft of canare 4S11 speaker cable(I found a bulk dealer)and some silver plated eichmann bannanas.Ill get two single binding posts and use 9ft of the cable to make a custom IC cable.I just hope I can somehow rig the posts into the cups by removing the female IC inputs.

Drill a hole, install the binding post, swap wire from pin hole to new binding post. It's simple.

I really hate to see all these SDA IC cable hack jobs. You do realize that you can still use the original pin hole, right?

What's wrong with replacing the SDA connector with a binding post? It's a much more solid connection, the original is very loose and sloppy. And if done right, it's not a hack job.

Loose and sloppy? Hell, I have to get a firm grip and pull hard on mine to remove them. The fit couldn't be any tighter. Good luck if you ever need to use the AI-1.

I still have the original parts, the way I did it, it can be put back to original in 5 minutes.

In that case, my hat is off to you for having that foresight.
