Hey everyone! I'm really excited for Mamma Mia to come out next weekend! Is anyone else excited? I just got the soundtrack for the movie today and it sounds great! I am an ABBA fan. I recommend checking it out before the movie comes out because it is really catchy and fun to sing to.

I am really looking forward to this, I so enjoy ABBA's music, and this looks to just be loads of fun. I'll be there opening weekend.

Thank you for the music...even though you're Swedish. It was huge news that they were finally seen together in public, after 22 years. That's a long time.

Is it just me or this thread reek of spam?

Anyone noticed that 2 of the Executive Producers are Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson?

Just saw "Mamma Mia". Forget whether you like ABBA, the stage version or movie musicals. It's just a badly directed movie. For some reason the director seems to think that she's adding excitement by having people constantly RUN.....Greek villagers running up steps, cliffs, on piers, running from ROOM to ROOM......during virtually every song. The non-running shots are camera swoops and swirls. Annoying. Meryl Streep's game, but can't save it.

I thought it was ok. (not great, but not the worst movie I have been to.) My wife thought it was fantastic and wants to go again..

So there you go - apparently a chick flick in the extreme.

    Finally just saw this...

LOVED IT! LOVED IT! LOVED IT!!! By far, the most enjoyable time I've had at the movies in the last couple of years, I had a smile on my face for nearly 2 hours. It's such a high energy, funny, sad a times, romantic movie with of course a fantastic soundtrack. I'm going back for seconds.

My wife and I loved it. But, of course, we also saw the play on Broadway last year. :D

The only issue that I had with the movie was that I couldn't get past Pierce Brosnan's singing. Just didn't do anything for me.

I'm noticing a serious trend of "me and the wifey-poo enjoyed it immensely" vs. "are you friggin' kidding me?".

    Just a thought.

My wife never utters a word about my hobby purchases, she even acts fairly interested when I know she's not--so we go see whatever she wants to see. Fair trade in my book.
