I have a question for you BM: Which midwoofer do you like the most of the SR's, 5250 or 6500?
MacLeod said the SR6500's has "weird" midbass - a lot of energy but not as great "punch" as the 5250's?Pioneer P88RS-II | Polk Audio SR5250 | JL Audio 12w6v2 | 2x Genesis 3 Stereo 100 | Genesis 3 Monoblock -

I haven't used the SR 5250, so I cannot comment. I will say that the general consensus seems to be that the 6500s play lower frequencies better, whereas midrange sounds better on the 5250. Last summer I was entertaining the idea of using an sr5250 driver for a centre channel. I never went through with it, though.
I would certainly take MacLeod's opinion over mine. He's a champ! -

Okey, but either way you think the 6.75" is very good?Pioneer P88RS-II | Polk Audio SR5250 | JL Audio 12w6v2 | 2x Genesis 3 Stereo 100 | Genesis 3 Monoblock -

That is true IF you plug in your SR 6.5's and just run with them. They have so much 80-125 Hz response that the punchy 40-63 Hz gets drowned out. Last year in my Accord, I made it a mission to dial those in and have the best of both worlds and I was able to. So allow me to amend my statement: If you have a good EQ, you can dial in some very solid midbass AND very good punch as well.I would certainly take MacLeod's opinion over mine. He's a champ!

Even if your not 100% watertight could still stifle any low-medium SR and Buddy, once these things are broken in, they have got a lot. They will easily up to 40 Hz with authority! If this is not a big PITA you can take this place and see what you think.

Great install!! From someone that has considered doing something similar with his SR components (5250's), but has never made speaker pods, this is inspiring.
I love all of the pictures, really gives the reader a sense of the process and the amount of work you put in.polkaudio | the speaker specialists
