This preamp has loose connections in the right and left preamp out. Is this problem one that should be punted to Roland's repair shop or has anyone succeeded in fixing this problem themselves? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

It sounds like a solder joint problem and that's usually an easy fix. Pop the top and get to work.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Might not even need any solder. One of my 9t's had a loose rca input and all it took to fix it was tightening the nut that held the jack in place on the inside of the amp case.

I agree with skipf. I had a loose RCA input a few weeks ago (connection would cut in and out) and all it took was tightening down the nut on the back side of the post. It was such an easy fix that I wasn't convinced that could have been it. But it worked immediately and has ever since.
