I heard that too. I can't even comprehend how the NBA would allow this to even happen. What is the banner going to say?? Oklahoma turkeys 1979 champions? I mean come on! You either have it or you don't.

Apparantly OKC is so excited about getting an NBA team they've been talking about College Football on there Sports station.

Its because Stern has been getting one hell of a reach-around from Bennett.

Ugh! And I just heard on KJR.. paragraph 6 of the 'agreement'.. says that if there IS a team here again in Seattle within 5 years, that the two teams (OKC and SEA) can share team history.

So, obviously Seattle can show Gary Payton as their leading scorer in 1996, but Oklahoma City can have the same in their record books at the same time too??

    WHISKEY TANGO FOXTROT.

    I can't believe this garbage!

And why would they even want OUR history?! What's gone on in the last 41 years is OURS. It has NOTHING to do with them.

This whole thing is a disgrace. I'm so pissed.

Bottom line: it's a business. The owners want to make money.
Getting John Q.Public to spring for new facilities can double the
value of a team. Jerry Jones got most of the Cowboy's new digs
paid by the public, then got offers of $400 million in his pocket for
    naming rights to the stadium.

At some point, these jokers are gonna kill the golden goose.
    Add up player salaries+owner's greed+higher ticket costs+
higher tv costs=crash and burn. The real question, how long are we
going to go along with it? Many pro sports on tv have lost ratings.
When the teams aren't loyal to the fans, the fans aren't loyal to the
    teams.
