Would like to upgrade my receiver and surrounds in 2003. Any suggestions? Would love a widescreen t.v. but that will probably have to wait. Recently upgraded the fronts and center.
My system:
T.V.: Sony Trinitron 27"
Receiver: Kenwood VR-309
Front: Polk R50
Center: CSi20
Surrounds: Bose Model 21(Bookshelf)
Subwoofer: Polk PSW250
DVD Player: Pioneer DV-414
Cables: Monster

Thanks Mantis. I've heard good things about Denon.

I just upgraded from an old Denon 2-channel rcvr to a Yamaha RX-V2300 and am very satisfied. I auditioned it and another Yamaha model up against two Denon models, including the AVR-2803. You wouldn't go wrong with the Denon (I've had my rcvr since 1988 and it still works fine). From my comparisons, I felt like the Yamaha provided a fuller, richer sound while the Denons were "brighter". Happy shopping!
