Sorry I had to repost this, so any mods can delete my other thread. I didn't put the "Help Needed" prefix before the title!

Hi guys, I recently purchased the Polk Audio RM6750 5.1 Channel Home Theater Speaker System. Today I went to turn on the subwoofer by flipping the switch in the back and it had a loud humming noise. I made sure all the cables were connected properly and tried it again, same problem. I unplugged all the cables and just plugged the subwoofer into the wall so it was only receiving power and it still made the loud hum for about a minute, then slowly tappered off. I plugged it back into my system and now it isnt working at all, just a cackle here and there, and the LED light is still on. Is there anything I can do or what happened to this thing!?

    Hello,
Thanks for posting on the Forum, I'm sorry you're having a problem with the RM6750 sub-woofer. You would want to:
1). unplug the AC power cord and remove the 10 Phillips head screws that go around the circumference of the amplifier's input plate.
2). the amplifier will come away from the cabinet and you'll see two wires (one red the other black) that lead to the 8" woofer. These wires easily disconnect from the woofer's terminals using the slip off metal clips.
3). box the amplifier up and send to Polk Audio, 2550 Britannia Blvd., Suite A, San Diego, CA. 92154, please include a short note giving us your name and address and a copy of your sales receipt.
The service department will quickly send a replacement amplifier.
    Regards, Ken, Polk
