Hi,
I have a pair of RT2000Ps that I need help with solving an issue. These things were hooked up to an MC2500. Amp worked fine when last turned off. When it was turned back on the next day, it made a very loud buzz in both speakers. Upon investigation, I found two output devices with a dead short. I replaced all devices in both channels, did the adjustments and the amp works fine. The problem is the readings I get when I check the drivers. I get a reading of 1.2 ohms DCR on the tweeter and 3.6 on the mid woofer. All resistors read correctly. Not sure about the caps. I am not impressed by the quality of the caps. Might be time to upgrade while they are apart. Any way, some one out there know what the correct readings should be. The polk tech rep said they seemed low. Thanks for any help provided.
