I have a feeling I need to get this done for my father's 1.2TL's. Maybe after the RDOs break in nice and good.

Has anybody done this with a pair of SDA SRS 2.3's? ( non TL)

There are some step-by-step threads here. Do a search. If you still find it too scary (which I did at first, it was my first time in years) PM ben62670, he does crossovers for people all the time here and will do ya right by the price.

    BTW welcome to Club Polk.

+1, I too can solder and read directions but didn't want to take a risk with a difficult to replace XO if I screwed it up. I contacted Ben and he did mine for me. I can honestly tell you the improvement in all aspects to the SQ is dramatic to say the least. Great guy to deal with and he turned them around very quickly. The boards are very easy to take out and reinstall. Good luck and welcome to CP.

If you can solder and follow directions, exactly what do you guys think you are going to screw up? It's not rocket science.

That is a great point but there is a fear factor involved. I know, after years of troubleshooting computer boards down to component level and having been away from it for quite some time, I was sweating bullets when you and I did my crossovers.

Once one gets past the fear it really is very easy. Proof of that pudding is I helped Sal do his xovers.

I just did this myself rebuidling the crossovers using SonicCaps and Mills Resistors. They make a VERY impressive difference! Spend the money on this upgrade if you can!

The soundstage is improved, the level of detail is better, and your speakers will sound as good as new!

If you need help rebuilding your crossovers or soldering, let me know. I will help as best as I can.

Thanks very much for the info. As I read about adding extenders, shrink wrapping prior to solder.....and I love these speakers, I am thinking it is best left to someone else. I pulled the crossovers out of the speakers today to take a look. Not sure I have the confidence.

    Thanks again.
