    Steve

Compaq/HP are notorious for crippling the BIOS:confused: They want you to upgade the machine, and not the memory.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
    Ben

If you got 2g of main memory is it always best to run with a no page system?

In fact some programs will not run at all without a page file. Can't remember which.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

I have read the discussion on memory problems with the Evo D510 SFF.

I am having a similar problem, but it seems that I purchased the right memory. Here is what I bought.

    HP-Compaq 353454-001 1GB (1X1GB) DDR DIMM 184 Pin 266 MHZ PC2100 CL2.5 ECC SDRAM Memory For Proliant Workstation.

I see that it says it is for a Prolinant workstation, but everything else seems right. I purchased these in pairs and have tried to install them on my machine. I found that my BIOS was out of date, so I updated it to the latest I could find - version 3.18.

So all of the specs seem right. DDR 266 MHZ PC 2100 CL2.5.

But when I install them, it beeps right after turning on the power.

Did I buy the wrong thing as well?

    Thanks!
